SOUTHAMPTON TINY CONTAINER POOL HOUSE

Greetings from Southampton! 🙂

This tiny container pool house is a fantastic example of taking something and recycling it into something else completely. At first glance, you might have no idea that this pool house was originally a shipping container. The design touches and contemporary styling do not suggest anything other than a beautifully constructed pool house.

We love the large picture windows and the wood siding that covers the raw paint of the container. Many shipping container home designers choose to leave the raw paint and markings of the original box. However, the designers of this tiny container pool house have chosen to add a beautiful wood veneer that brings this pool house into the modern era.

The all glass front facade is another great touch. When you are designing the layout of a tiny house, you always want to be cognizant of where windows are and what their purpose is. By keeping the entire front wall see-through, this pool house is able to stay connected to the action out at the pool while still offering shade, shelter and comfort.

The interior of this tiny container pool house is just as beautifully designed and elegant as the exterior. We love the wealth of windows that give occupants a mix of the indoors and outdoors from all angles. The balck trim of the windows also do a great job of highlighting just how many of them are in this pool house.

Adding to the vintage style and beauty, is the wood panelling that adorns the interior. This is a great design touch that compliments the beach feel and tropical vibe that this tiny container pool house has. On top of this, the built-in cabinets are a perfect element for storage and keeping the necessities of swimming out of the way and out of sight.

The bathroom and shower area is a complete departure from the rest of this tiny container pool house. We love the stark white theme of this bathroom and how it serves to contrast the darker, more vintage feel of the pool house. The all tile motif gives off a clean feel that is perfect for showering after a long swimming session.

We can’t go on with this look at the tiny container pool house without mentioning the amazing pull down Murphy bed. Located behind the built in cabinetry, this is one of the most effective and practical features that this pool house has to offer. It is absolutely perfect for converting the pool house into a guest house.

Being able to make the most out of the space that you are given is one of the most important skills to have as a designer. Nowhere is this evidenced more than in the use of this Murphy bed set up. The fact that it is hidden behind a storage area gives it multiple uses and makes it as useful as possible.

By combining different styles and using techniques to get the most out of the space available, this tiny container pool house is incredibly versatile and stylish at the same time. We can’t get enough of the throwback wood paneling and Murphy bed as well as the clean style of the tile bathroom.

We just love all the elegant and design-heavy features that this tiny container pool house has to offer. With a mix of contemporary and vintage style and functionality to match, there is almost no application that this pool house can’t handle.

So what do you think? Would you live here? 🙂
